– Recap of this week

What a day today, actually what a week. Talofa Lava, this is a recap of my entire week.

After all the pleasures of being apart of the pacifica group, being a part of the summer learning journey and having such great people as friends that I know  better of know. To start off, this week I found out it was Samoan Language Week [ lie, I already knew it was coming up four weeks before] and I was apart of the pacifica group. It is a group where PI or Pacific Islanders come to celebrate one culture on their special weeks and getting to know one other and how they feel about their own heritage. Now, I am indeed not Samoan but having some people in my family who actually are Samoan made me willing enough to learn another culture. SO I started going to their practising sessions and I learnt the anthem, Siva and language. We were actually successful after all the practising, on the day of the assembly we were already and dressed to be presented to our school. I think we did 9/10 no offence. The only reason why is that I wished we didn’t have technical issues but like champions we held it through. Well done Pacifica Group and Thank you Mrs Eric for leading everything, a great way to show pride in your heritage. Now right before having to do our presentation I had a shock. During the holidays I participated in something called the Summer Learning Journey and well I came 1st. I received a gift and was very proud of myself. From people giving me compliments to just my legs shaking as walking up and shaking my principal’s hand. Not gonna lie, I almost was about to ask my friend to come up with me and be a big baby but I did not want to draw more attention to me. SO I then just went up and tried to rush back. Will I be doing that program again, maybe. On Monday I learnt about easy Samoan sentences, my pronunciation was in my opinion okay. Tuesday, I learnt about some more sentences. I think it was Wednesday we did the same thing and Thursday we made Samoan necklaces with the juniors.

Well apart from my friend getting attacked by a small child I felt good about everything that happened this week I hope next week is even better.

Plantation Plan for the school

In the past week week we were challenged to write information about what plants should Ruapotaka School should choose ……

I have chose four plants that I guarantee we will get, because of it’s reasons and purposes health wise. Medical plants have been planted everywhere across the entire world and most of them help effectively. Besides vegetables we should get medical plants helping in oral health and the health of every part of your body. My parents always make this Tongan drink called “Vai” or Haka’vai made from china by my cousin who is in fact a doctor. She created it and sent it to my uncles and aunties in Tonga. It helps with  digesting food and making it come out. Helps when you are trying to lose weight. While creating this information I figured that we should open our old dentist for an after school programme. It would be a place where parents can bring their children and we could inspect their teeth and gums.

Here is the four plants –

Ginger –

  • Ginger could be used for the use of creating medicine in the sickbay. –
  • Ginger would be used to help prevent or treat nausea and vomiting from any sort of sickness. –
  • Ginger is also known for it’s natural strong smell.
  • Helps / aids in the digestion system for children.
  • If mixed with the right ingredients it can then be made to soothe down little children.
  • In my opinion, My father makes a medicine named vai that helps you digest your food and it is combined with herbs and ginger. It really does help after eating something very hot.

Cinamon –

  • It is used for dental health
  • Reduces germs and  oral cavities to the mouth.
  • This gives us an opportunity to restart having our own dental clinic for children – say of an afterschool program. For parents to bring children here for a check-up making sure every child has healthy gums.
  • Cinnamon might have one purpose in oral health but it is very important that you have healthy teeth.
  • This is an affective plant

Juniper –

  • Juniper is helpful in every way of cramps weather it is muscular, intestinal and so on
  • Junipers can be made into an oil and placed on your skin for a warm feel and soft skin.

Manuka –

  • Manuka can be mixed with honey to creates a substance
  • It supports wound healing – actually it is the recommended substance for healing minor wounds
  • One of the things that helps gut health
  • Soothes a sore throat

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day Writing

One of the most important people in my life is my mother. A person I love dearly .A cook, a lovable person and the mother of my siblings and I. The most memorable moment was when I was 5 months old. I was sick and at the hospital lying by myself and everyday I would see my mother’s face along with my father’s, and to just see them in my hour of need it means everything to me. She buys me my necessities when I need them. She is a hardworking mother. You and my dad give me a roof over my head ,food on the table and a massive amount of love. I hope you the best because you always keep me happy and safe . . . . .

I hope you enjoy May the 8 TH

/\ My Theory # 1 /\

As we shift in to another phase, we are held by the protesters. They are fighting, acting and overstepping boundaries for what they think is right . . . . . . . . .

But is it right?

We have been seeing nonstop behaviour to the parliament of New Zealand. We have been always searching to do what is right but it may never happen because of . . . Protesting.

The news has been going crazy with new info and upcoming plans. We should take precautions of what protesting can lead to. Ever since the year 2020 worry has spread into the minds of every woman, every man and every child.

Protesting leads to more covid cases, which leads to the parliament putting us in deeper isolation, which then leads to protesting and e.t.c.

So decide what side you choose . . . . . . . .
