What Happens next – Robot Rampage

Thursday 17th August 2023

Hemi had been discovered as the creator of the robot. The robot had gone rogue and tried to kill the people of his town.

The crowd came yelling and decided to scream at the boy Hemi.

The children started running while the robot created wildfires and destruction of the small buildings. Hemi thought to himself and started to create another machinery to defeat his

Previous creation.

With his head covered by a helmet he grinded up a microwave, old tv, parts of his bike,

And a laptop.

He named it the ¨Lawnmower Destroyer¨.

The robot used it´s sharp edges from the old TV to slice right through the mower’s center. The people praised Hemi for saving them. And they lived

Happily Ever After . . .

Resilience Work –

Monday 13 June,

We were learning about one of our main values all leading to our motto. “Empowering Learners ; Shape our Futures”. Now that is why we always have PB4L. Positive behaviour for learning. Respect, Responsibility, resilience and integrity. We were now just focusing on Resilience. A great part of growing and learning. It helps educate the brain on what to do when stressed or fed up with something or someone. Resilience is all about bouncing back from a dilemma/problem that upsets you. In different ways it can be the best way. One strategy is showing your wits. Walk away, Ignore, tell an adult and seek help.

Recipe Creating

Today, we were instructed to create a worthy recipe. I went with a classic created by Samoa/Tonga. Ota Ika!

Known as raw fish. A refreshing dish that cleanses your pallet with it’s coconut milk juices. Here is my recipe

Ingredients:

Fish – Red Capsicum – Yellow capsicum – salt – coconut milk – water – purple onion

Instructions :

1 slice fish into 2cm pieces

Cut the red/yellow capsicum into 2cm pieces

Cut the purple onion

Open a can of natural coconut milk

Mix in a big bowl and let it set in the fridge for two hours

THEN ENJOY!

If I won the lottery

Topic : If I won the lottery

On a normal Saturday morning I found someone’s ticket for the lottery coming up for the Queen’s birthday in about 24 hours. So I I picked it up and clenched on it while running to see if anyone had purchased a ticket. When I asked a bunch of store owners they all said no one did. So I decided to keep it. Who knew I would win!!

I still feel sorry for another person’s loss but then again I was happy for my gain. What could I do with 5 million dollars. Well the first thing I would do is actually save a whole lot of it for any future situations and go out shopping with my family.

I would by the most aesthetic things for my room. I would give a lot to whanau/family.

Group Work – Reading

Walt: Understand and interpret the authors purpose and interpret.

Book – Penguin Rescue

Prediction: Judging by the cover of the book it is based on a penguin in danger from oil.

The actual Moral – A penguin is set free from the dangerous water. The water was polluted with oil. Oil and water do not go together. The oil will actually just then sit on the surface from the water and then sea creatures will dive onto it. Just like us we are not supposed to consume oil because it will kill us or likely to poison our blood.

A good story that means “Look after the ocean to look after the sea animals who live in it”.

Where would you go with a friend anywhere in the world if you had the chance . . .

Topic: Where would you go with a friend anywhere in the world if you had the chance . . .

I would choose to go to Tonga , Vavau.

I would see the church my dad went to and my outer family. The tall strong coconut trees, the hills and mountains we climb and the rocky cliffs The seethrough ocean and the scrumptious seafood/ika .  . . .

But of course I will need a plus one, my friend, my relative, my sister!

She is always busy and have not time, I wish I had a chance to just leave school and go to the pacific Islands with someone.
